The new Collection takes us on a journey through the East, following a route that ideally crosses China, between ancient cultures of landscapes with timeless atmospheres and new urban profiles, between earth and asphalt, rice paddies and spice markets, passing through Sichuan and the Forbidden City, up to the contradictory and technological Hong Kong.
The journey continues, reinterpreting the formal purity and emotional power of evocative forms, internalized in the chance encounters of his oriental explorations, with the softness of neutral tones and the explosion of colors stolen from the Forbidden City.
The installation in the RevolutionLab space guides the visitor room by room towards a multimedia path that gradually reveals the design suggestions, with the ultimate aim of making him enter an apartment in Hong Kong: elegant and sophisticated, as the final stop on a route traveled with suitcases increasingly full of ideas that now fill those rooms.
The common denominator of the new RO collection is the choice of precious materials such as brass, onyx, briar, leather, parchment, velvet, mixed together in a relationship of perfect practical and emotional balance.
Thus was born a series of furniture inspired in principle by the dimensional and typological evolution of homes in their historical path, such as the Kowloon modular open bookcase, which can be developed in height "infinitely", inspired by the forest of skyscrapers in Hong Kong, built with bamboo scaffolding. The new series of "containers" like Ms Chang have the same origin, made of precious woods and parchment which hide, behind partition doors or small doors, video projectors and TVs which appear when necessary, opening up like windows onto the world.
The Riso table lamp in briar, onyx or green parchment is inspired by the traditional hat used by rice field workers, while Green Tea, the armchair in brass, green velvet and leather, aims to be a reminder of the traditional shape of its seat which combines the essentiality of the lines with the comfort of the soft cushions.
